The Graduate Mentorship Programme (Thati), recently organised a ceremony to honour participants for their unfailing efforts and effective contributions towards the success of the programme.
The Thati mentorship programme, launched in 2012 under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, seeks to attract outstanding university graduates and train them in different enterprises for two years. It aims to create a generation of leaders equipped with confidence to hold important professional positions.
During the ceremony Ms. Fatima Al Shehhi, Director of Reyada Centre highlighted Her Highness’ vision and keenness to create a new confident generation as well as empower them to become future leaders. She also thanked all the longstanding supporters of the programme for their ongoing cooperation.
“This two-year programme with the option of a year’s extension has been structured to include different events and programs in its several phases. One of these programs is meeting with instructor, four times a year. The purpose from this meeting is to help the programme’s delegates to earn more instructions and guidelines. We would like to thank each manager for their time and efforts, and for achieving many positive results with our participants in a short period of time,” said Al Shehhi.
“another event titled ‘Meeting with Leader’ initiative, which gives the programme’s delegates a chance to meet with senior managers of Sharjah’s top organisations four times a year, and learn from their experiences. By listening to first-hand experiences and knowing about best practices, the new generation received crucial insights into how successful people and visionaries overcome challenges they face, how they seize opportunities, and deal with situations. Every member of Thati programme profit immensely from each point discussed in these meetings.” she added.
Al Shehhi concluded by saying: “We would also like to thank colleges and universities for the key role they played in our journey, because they are the primary source selection of the graduates. They have helped us reach out to students by participating in recruitment exhibitions and facilitating the programme’s requirements.”
To close the ceremony, all partners and contributors of Thati were honoured for encouraging the programme’s delegates, and playing a key role in its success through their collaboration with the Reyada Centre’s management.
