Dubai Courts participates in the International Association of Court Administration (IACA) (conference in Singapore to share experiences and promote innovation in judicial management

Dubai Courts participated in the events of the International Association of Court Administration (IACA)  conference held in Singapore, with the participation of a group of senior leaders and specialists in the judicial and legal fields from around the world. The conference witnessed a series of discussion sessions and workshops that addressed the latest trends and developments in the field of court management. It also witnessed active participation by Dubai Courts on the first day of the conference, which confirmed its commitment to developing and improving judicial systems in line with the latest international standards.

 

The Dubai Courts delegation to this conference was headed by His Excellency Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Dubai Courts, along with His Excellency Judge Khaled Yahya Al Hosani, President of the Courts of First Instance, His Excellency Judge Omar Miran, Head of the Technical Office at the Court of Cassation, His Excellency Judge Khaled Al Mansoori, President of the Execution Court, His Excellency Mohammed Al Obaidli, Executive Director of the Case Management Sector, in addition to Mr. Mohammed Abdul Rahman, Governance and Strategic Planning Advisor, and Ms. Alia Al Majid, Director of the Strategy and Institutional Performance Department. This prominent participation confirmed the Dubai Courts’ keenness to learn about and adopt the best international practices in the field of developing judicial works in line with Dubai’s vision of leadership and innovation.

 

In a statement during his participation in the conference, His Excellency Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Dubai Courts, confirmed that our participation in this global conference reflects Dubai Courts commitment to adopting the best international practices in court management. We had the opportunity to share experiences with a group of specialists, which will contribute to strengthening our continuous development plans and implementing the latest technical solutions that contribute to improving the quality of judicial services provided to litigants and clients alike. His Excellency added that the visions and ideas we obtained through this international event will greatly contribute to updating and implementing new policies, in addition to enhancing our ability to face future challenges and participate effectively in designing the future of judicial institutions.

 

His Excellency also pointed out that the International Association of Court Administration Conference is a global platform that brings together specialists from different countries of the world to share knowledge and expertise, and is considered a reference for developing policies and procedures that support the continued efficiency of courts in dealing with complex cases and providing creative judicial solutions. Through the conference, a number of strategic topics were highlighted that contribute to the development of the global judicial system, and the focus was on the digital transformation of courts and how to benefit from modern technology to improve the efficiency of judicial procedures. Participants reviewed how to use artificial intelligence and apply digital systems to accelerate judicial procedures and facilitate the provision of innovative and effective judicial services to citizens, ensuring an improved experience for those dealing with the courts.

 

The conference also addressed the issue of access to justice, where ways to improve access to justice for all were discussed, with a focus on reducing the costs and time required to resolve disputes. It also addressed how to enhance social justice by providing effective judicial services that contribute to accelerating the adjudication of cases and reducing the burden on individuals. For the human resources management in the courts, the conference reviewed best practices in this field, where ways to develop the skills of judges and employees in the courts were discussed, and how to improve their performance to ensure the provision of high-quality services. The need to develop sustainable training programs that keep pace with the transformations in the judicial system and meet the needs of society was emphasized.

 

Finally, the conference highlighted the importance of international cooperation between courts, as ways of exchanging experiences and knowledge between courts in different countries were discussed. Participants stressed the need to enhance cooperation to exchange successful experiences in resolving cross-border disputes, which contributes to the development of judicial systems and the achievement of justice at the global level.

 

Dubai Courts concluded its participation in the conference with the presentation of a work paper by Ms. Alia Al Majid, Director of Strategy and Corporate Performance Department at Dubai Courts, on “Digital Transformation in Dubai Courts and Initiatives to Facilitate Access to Justice.” The paper reviewed the importance of digital transformation in improving the efficiency of the judicial system, and how to use modern technologies to facilitate and accelerate judicial procedures, which enhances the customer experience and makes judicial services easier and more effective.

 

His Excellency Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Dubai Courts stressed that the participation of Dubai Courts in this international conference confirms the department’s commitment to achieve Dubai’s vision of building a distinguished judicial system that reflects Dubai’s leadership in all fields. His Excellency added: We at Dubai Courts see these international participations as an opportunity to gain knowledge and learn about the best experiences and practices that enable us to develop and improve our performance continuously in line with our community’s aspirations to obtain innovative judicial services.
