Il Baretto honours Saudi National Day with limited-edition menu items championing homegrown producers

Riyadh’s beloved Italian restaurant is adding two new items to the menu, featuring local Saudi producers JAZEAN and Noug

Blending the flavours of Italy with the homegrown products of Saudi Arabia, Il Baretto Riyadh is celebrating Saudi National Day by showcasing the very best of the Kingdom’s homegrown producers. Available until September 24th, the beloved Italian restaurant will offer two limited-edition menu items for diners to enjoy, instilling a dose of patriotism with ingredients like local Saudi coffee and speciality camel milk. 

 

Guests will be able to enjoy a delicate V60 coffee imbued with flavours of lemon or orange, transporting them to southern Italy but using local JAZEAN Coffee. As the first coffee producer to be owned by the Saudi government, Jazean empowers local coffee makers to deliver sublime blends straight from the Kingdom using beans sourced from, where beans from the Jazan, Watad and Khayalah mountains are blended with the finest beans from Colombia, Costa Rica and Ethiopia to deliver an innovative and delicious product. 

The perfect celebratory indulgence, Il Baretto will also be honouring Saudi National Day with its authentic Italian gelato, made using Noug camel milk and available in vanilla, pistachio and chocolate flavours. Testament to Il Baretto’s dedication to sourcing sustainable, local and natural produce, Noug’s camel dairy products uniquely blend Saudi heritage with contemporary food manufacturing technology to produce an innovative and nutritious offering. 

 

The limited-edition menu showcases Il Baretto’s unwavering passion for bringing the flavours of Italy to life using local Saudi ingredients and producers where possible, fostering a proud sense of community in the capital and paying homage to local producers. 

 

Il Baretto’ Riyadh’s Saudi National Day menu is available until September 24th, with walk-ins and reservations welcome.
