Cityscape Global marks 15th anniversary

The 15th edition of Cityscape Global is expected to attract a new wave of real estate investors from across the region, following the success of recent exhibitions in Turkey, Egypt, Abu Dhabi and Qatar.

So far in 2016, the Cityscape portfolio of events has gathered more than 46,000 participants, and feedback from key stakeholders including real estate developers, brokers, architects, government officials and investors indicates that all eyes are now turning to the flagship event as the highlight of the real estate calendar year in the Middle East.

In 2017, the inaugural Cityscape India will be launched at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from 2-5 March, building upon the international expansion of the brand, which now hosts events in Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Doha, Dubai, Istanbul, Jeddah, Kuwait City, and Seoul.

Returning to the Dubai World Trade Centre from 6-8 September, Cityscape Global is expected to span across 41,000sqm of exhibition space, featuring new exhibitors showcasing hundreds of project launches.

Tom Rhodes, Exhibition Director, said: “The Cityscape brand is growing globally, which means we are reaching more investors from around the region and beyond and are connecting more real estate buyers with developers and brokers.

“Cityscape Global, meanwhile, continues to be the barometer of the real estate market, with many leading developers using the exhibition as the perfect platform to launch new projects to the market.

“Last year was a resounding success – the largest the event has been in five years, with more than 43,000 participants from 102 countries and two additional halls to accommodate the demand from local, regional and international exhibitors.  Our forecasts for this year anticipate a similar response in terms of exhibitor participation and visitor numbers.”

The 15th edition of Cityscape Global, the brand’s crowning flagship event will feature a range of country pavilions, including those dedicated to exhibitors from the UK, Pakistan, and India, a seminar theatre for exhibitors and a number of big-league speakers at the Cityscape Conference.

On the day preceding the show (5 September), the Cityscape Global Conference is expected to gather an exclusive mix of more than a 1,200 delegates and speakers taking part in three dedicated conference programmes: Market Overview, Architecture, and Real Estate Brokers.

For the first time since the Conference inception, the Market Overview programme will feature one of the most sought-after speakers, Rohit Talwar, a globally-renowned futurist and strategist, who will debate risk management and ground-breaking development strategies in legislation and investment policies for the global and local real estate market in the near future.

Following the success in 2015, the show returns with the Cityscape Talks seminar theatre, offering exhibitors dedicated space in the centre of Hall 1 on the show floor to engage with visitors and host presentations showcasing their organisations’ expertise and latest property developments.

The opening day of the show will feature the Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets, an awards programme attracting hundreds of entries from developers and architects across emerging markets globally.  The Awards, accepting submissions across 13 categories with the emphasis on innovation and sustainability, will be announced at a VIP gala followed by a cocktail party at Conrad Hotel Dubai.

The Awards are now open for submissions, and all entries must be submitted before 5pm (GST) on Wednesday 15th June 2016 through the website: www.cityscapeglobal.com/awards

Cityscape Global 2016 returns with support from the Dubai Land Department and Foundation Partners: Emaar Properties, Dubai Properties and Nakheel; Platinum Sponsors: Al Marjan Island and Union Properties; Registration Trustee Partner Tamleek; and Research Partner YouGov.
