Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) will increase daily trips on the Haramain High-Speed Railway to more than 140 during the last 10 days of Ramadan, as part of its seasonal plan to meet the expected rise in pilgrims and visitors traveling between Makkah and Medina.
SAR said the Ramadan plan includes 3,662 trips with capacity exceeding 1.7 million seats, offering flexible travel options throughout the day and helping ease passenger movement while reducing waiting times during peak days.
The additional services are based on seasonal demand indicators, SAR said, adding it will maintain high safety and service standards while keeping operational and field teams on round-the-clock readiness to ensure efficient performance during the high-traffic period.
