Shura Council calls on industry ministry to develop localization laws

The Saudi Shura Council called on the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources to study developing localization laws through supporting the localization of technical, skill and administrative professions at the ministry.

The decision followed the viewpoints and remarks made by the energy and industry committee about the ministry’s annual report.

The Council called on the ministry to expand the industry of solar panel manufacturing and localize its components to enhance the local content.

It also urged the ministry to accelerate the implementation of initiatives for industry sustainability and the development of laws in the industrial sector.
