NWC provides opportunities for implementation of +398,000 connections to provide water and sanitation services

The National Water Company (NWC) has invited the national companies specializing in infrastructure implementation to participate in its investment opportunities under Phase II of the Esal “delivery in Arabic” project. NWC stated that it plans to sign a series of agreements to provide water and sanitary drainage services by implementing 398,000 household connections for water and wastewater in all company's clusters across the Kingdom together with private sector companies to increase local content, achieve customer satisfaction, and accelerate service delivery.

The company stated that it would sign agreements with some national companies and establishments specialized in the field of contracting, and known for their efficiency due to their previous experience in infrastructure works, especially the construction of pipelines, according to NWC specifications. These companies will commit to applying quality standards and taking into account all means of occupational health and safety and environmental protection during the various stages of implementation.

 NWC said that the agreements include the implementation of household water and sewerage connections and the networks required to implement 398,000 connections throughout the Kingdom. The company stressed that its qualified local contractors can participate in the competition through its official website www.nwc.com.sa, submit the letter of interest, and specify the geographical areas in which the contractor wishes to work, sending them by e-mail to Esal2-Team@nwc.com.sa within fifteen days.

NWC confirmed that it has automated the procedures for household connection requests. It indicated that the customer could request a connection and know the progress of his request. The company noted that the customer would receive an SMS message with all the steps of the work stages until the connection is installed.
