National Treasure conference day one speakers inspire to think beyond normal breakthrough limiting beliefs

The day one of National Treasure Initiative conference by Knowledge Expanison, organised under the patronage of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and in partnership with Tejar Dubai, started with a line-up of distinguished speakers which enthralled the delegates leading by example and sharing their experiences. 

 

The two-day conference, opened with a welcome address by Mohammed Bin Sulaiman – Senior Manager, Member Relations, Dubai Chamber, at the Chamber auditorium as he shared the successful process of building a culture of high performance in a leading organisation like Dubai Chamber.

 

“This global initiative, being held for the first time in the UAE and the region, complements Dubai Chamber’s initiative of Tejar Dubai entrepreneurship development programme whose aim is to find and train creative and commercially-minded


youth to help them turn their business ideas into a reality,” he said.

 

“The UAE's growing competiveness in entrepreneurship reflects the winning culture of innovation, high performance and excellence, especially the support of the UAE’s wise leadership in ensuring the success of entrepreneurs in the country,” he said adding that Dubai Chamber is committed to fostering the development of national human capital while creating favourable employment opportunities through SMEs to consolidate Dubai’s standing in the global economic landscape.

 

“Our entrepreneurs have an important role in shaping the economic future of the country. I am confident that the National Treasure initiative will help budding entrepreneurs to realise their dreams and become part of the UAE’s thriving economy,” added Bin Sulaiman.

 

In her presentation, H.E. Dr. Maryam Matar, Founder, UAE Genetic Disease Association, shared her experience of creating public awareness about genetic disorders and also how taking initiatives on her own helped her to make a big change. She highlighted the symbol of water and how we can learn qualities like flexibility, transparency to build a culture of innovation and performance. 

      

The next session was led by H.E. Sara Shuhail, General Director, Ewa’a Shelters, who delivered a session on How to overcome fear or rejection.

 

Talking about how professionals can evaluate their levels of delivery through measurement, Stefaan Vandebril, Vice-President, Plant Availability, Borouge, addressed the attendees with “Importance of measurement and how it can impact high performance for the 21st Century with SMARTER measurements.”

 

A stellar speaker line-up of the day included H.E. Sara Al Madani, Board Member, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Carol Talbot, Fire Walk Instructor and Dr. Nashwa AlRuwaini, Founder, Pyramedia Consultancy & Production.

 

According to the organisers, the agenda of the National Treasure is receiving very positive response from the audience as well as the young professionals from leading universities.

 

Sigbert Dhas, Founder of National Treasure and CEO of Knowledge Expansion revealed that they had received very strong interest from young professionals in leading universities for this conference. “We feel much validated as we wanted to create an extraordinary conference that inspires young professionals and their feedback so far is extremely positive.”

 

Neha Shaikh, Co-Founder of National Treasure, added that the delegate interest for this first edition is extremely encouraging. “We are very happy to see that months of creative brain storming and planning have come to such a successful start today. National Treasure was conceptualized to be a catalyst of positive inspiration and learning for the people of UAE,” she said.

 

The concluding day of the conference on Wednesday will bring an equal stellar mix of speakers and the event will conclude with an award ceremony.
