Majid Al Futtaim malls across the region celebrate Eid Al Adha with spectacular family entertainment and prizes to win

An unprecedented line-up of entertainment will delight the young and young-at-heart at     Mall of the Emirates, from Sept 12 to 17, 2016. ‘The incredible Human Puppet’, ‘Top Hat Tapping Bunnies’, the extravagant ‘Toy Music Band’, the ‘Toy Maker, Dolls, and the soldiers’, are just some of the many colorful and thrilling shows the mall will showcase, five times daily. Visitors are also invited to experience the newly opened Turkish restaurant ‘Besh’, located at the Sheraton Mall of the Emirates, to grab a delicious complimentary ice cream, on Sept 11, from 12pm to 2pm, at taxi rank, gate 4, ground floor at mall of the Emirates.

Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Deira will feature further excitement with ‘The Couch’ featuring a realistic moving and talking statue sitting on a sofa, allowing visitors to interact, share anecdotes and chit chat, like they never did before, with five daily performances. ‘Larger Than Life Mimes’ will parade in extremely high stilts. Silent but vibrant, the performers will engage with mall goers in their colourful and fun attire. The ‘Al Capone Jazz Band’ will charm crowds with their greatest hits, with five daily live performances.

Also at Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Deira: ‘Circus Follie’ will offer unforgettable performances with action-packed and humorous elements in which the crowd will participate. Full of masked creatures and funny, furry characters, ‘Teddy & Otto’ will give families the chance to experience street theatre walkabouts. With Otto the otter and Teddy the fox wheeling a wooden cart amongst flocks of people, the act is filled with ancient magic and relics from beloved fairy tale favourites. Meanwhile, City Centre Mirdif promises to amuse the crowds with stage shows featuring a guest star comedy illusionist, from Sept 8 to 17, at 2:45, 4:30, 6, 7:30 and 9:30pm.

City Centre Me’aisem and City Centre Al Shindagha—in collaboration with Dubai Shopping Malls Group—will offer shoppers who spend AED 200 or more the chance to spin the wheel and win instant prizes from Sept 1 to 17, 2016. Lucky recipients will have the chance to win AED 1,000, AED 5,000, AED 25,000, AED 50,000 or AED 100,000, for a total value of a whopping AED 1.5 million.

From now until Sept 15—in line with UAE’s 2016 ‘The year of reading’ initiative—                              City Centre Sharjah is rolling out a series of educational activities featuring a fun and cozy reading corner, daily interactive story-telling sessions from 5 to 10pm and an exciting spelling bee championship that will take place on Sept 14 and 15.

Using the latest technology in Virtual Reality, City Centre Ajman will showcase the mind-blowing, hair-rising game: ‘Bridge of Surprises’. Visitors who spend AED 200 at the mall will enter a simulated world where they will cross a rope-bridge stretched between two balloons flying over Dubai. In reality, participants will be walking across an actual makeshift rope-bridge in the mall. To add a twist and prizes to win, players will be encouraged to catch logos of using a hand controller. If a player manages to collect 50 logos within 90 seconds, they will be instantly rewarded by participating retailers. The ‘Bridge of Surprises’ will be at City Centre Ajman, from Sept 8 to 30, offering customers the chance to win an array of instant prizes including a brand new car.

City Centre Fujairah is bringing to the mall spectacular ‘ball walkers’ to entertain the crowds as well as exclusive circus-themed workshops. Performers will be roaming around the mall on giant balls, while talented artists will offer juggling and balloon twisting workshops to teach little ones how to master the arts.

In partnership with Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority, highly popular children’s TV characters the ‘Teletubbies’ and the ‘Bananas in Pyjamas’ will appear at City Centre Bahrain for the very first time. The loveable duo ‘Bananas in Pyjamas’ will have children singing along the famous theme songs, while adorable multi-colored Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po from the ‘Teletubbies’ will entertain with dance and music performances, in the Central Galleria, from Sept 8 to 14, three times daily, from 3pm to 9pm.

Nikelodeon’s, famous children’s TV character ‘Dora the Explorer’ will be performing live in Oman offering mall visitors the lively ‘Dora’s Friendship Fiesta’ show. Boots, Diego and Paw Patrol’s Chase and Marshall will all come together to create an unforgettable experience of adventure and exploration for little ones. ‘Dora’s Friendship Fiesta’ will be showcased at City Centre Qurum from Sept 8 to 12 and at City Centre Muscat from Sept 14 to 17, 2016.

Little ones at City Centre Beirut will ‘go wild about learning’ as the mall hosts an impressive exhibition of 16 life-sized animals moving and sounding as they do in real life. A first in Lebanon, the event will offer participants a map to guide them and share educative insights about each species, from now until Sept 28, 2016.
