His Excellency Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Courts, presided over a high-level meeting today to discuss initiating the Unified Central Judicial Execution Project in the Emirate of Dubai. This initiative is being undertaken in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Judicial Council in Dubai, the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts, and Rental Disputes Center. The meeting is part of continuous efforts to bolster judicial efficiency and accelerating Justice. It aligns with Dubai’s vision of developing its judicial system to adhere to the highest international standards and best practices, with the primary objective of fostering inter-judicial cooperation to expedite the execution of judicial rulings within the Emirate.
During the proceedings, the meeting reiterated the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, who has consistently underscored that “swift justice enhances public confidence in the judiciary and contributes to social security and stability.” His Highness further affirmed that the development of the judicial system is a fundamental pillar of Dubai’s vision to provide the most exemplary judicial services on a global scale.
The meeting witnessed the attendance of several prominent judicial figures, including His Excellency Judge Abdul Qader Mousa, President of the Rental Disputes Center, His Excellency Judge Omar Juma Al Fujair Al Muhairi, Director of the DIFC Courts, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Saif Al Subousi, Secretary General of the Judicial Council; Judge Omar Atiq Al Marri, Deputy Director-General of Dubai Courts, and Judge Khaled Obaid Al Mansoori, President of the Execution Court.
His Excellency Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi remarked that the meeting forms part of ongoing coordination efforts between judicial authorities to enhance the efficacy of the judicial system in the Emirate. A task force comprising representatives from three principal judicial authorities—Dubai Courts, the DIFC Courts, and the Rental Disputes Center was formed in response to prior consultations, with a view to standardizing procedures and advancing judicial policies across Dubai.
His Excellency added that the General Secretariat of the Judicial Council of the Emirate of Dubai will supervise the team entrusted with preparing a comprehensive study on the Unified Central Judicial Execution Project. The purpose of this study is to streamline and enhance judicial execution procedures, with a particular focus on expediting the settlement of executive cases and ensuring the efficient and transparent application of justice in accordance with the highest international standards. His Excellency further highlighted the directives of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Chairman of the Judicial Council, who has consistently affirmed that "a fair, impartial, and independent judiciary ensures a stable society where individuals feel secure in their rights and freedoms." He emphasized that all judicial authorities within UAE are working in full coordination to provide an integrated and transparent judicial system, with a steadfast commitment to upholding public confidence in the judiciary and delivering justice swiftly and efficiently.
His Excellency Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, during the meeting, confirmed that all relevant judicial authorities are operating in complete coordination within a unified vision aimed at achieving excellence in the provision of judicial services. These efforts are geared towards reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global leader in judicial services, aligning with the aspirations of the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who has consistently emphasized the importance of expediting judicial procedures to safeguard litigants' rights and strengthen public trust in the judicial system.
Through this project, as well as other initiatives, Dubai seeks to consolidate its global leadership in the judicial field, adopting an innovative approach aimed at accelerating legal procedures and facilitating access to justice, while adhering to the highest international standards.
