Bahri Logistics, one of the six business units within Bahri, a global leader in transportation and logistics, showcased its comprehensive range of maritime capabilities and innovation-driven solutions at The Armed Forces Exhibition of Diversity for Requirements and Capabilities (AFED) 2018.
The highly-anticipated event took place in Riyadh, from 25 February until 3 March, under the royal patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the directives of HRH Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense of KSA, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. Several ministers, high-ranking government representatives and dignitaries, industry peers, and other stakeholders attended the exhibition.
The event saw Bahri Logistics, one of the top 10 breakbulk carriers in the world, highlight its cutting-edge transportation and logistics solutions to industry peers, clients, and other industry stakeholders.
Organized by the Ministry of Defense, the event served to highlight the capabilities of local and international factories and research centers, together with the current and future requirements of the armed forces. In line with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, the exhibition focused on the government’s strategy for localization of the major and supplementary industries supporting the defense sector including equipment, spare parts, and materials.
Ahmed Al-Ghaith, President of Bahri Logistics, said “AFED 2018 is an outstanding platform to showcase our industry-leading services and connect with our stakeholders. The event enabled us to reiterate the aims of our long-term expansion plans, emphasizing our overarching goal to bring transformative changes to the maritime industry. Bahri Logistics is the exclusive logistics provider for both the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior, and we remain fully committed to the roadmap outlined in Saudi Vision 2030 to establish the Kingdom as the world’s leading transportation and logistics hub.”
“Bahri Logistics owns six state-of-the-art multipurpose vessels capable of handling all types of cargo, and full liner services connecting strategic ports from the Americas and Europe to the Middle East and the Far East. We will continue to leverage our capabilities to deliver unmatched services to our clients worldwide, driving greater value for our stakeholders,” added Al-Ghaith.
