Almarai Company signed a memorandum of understanding “MOU” with Prince Sattam University. Al-Kharj, to provide cooperative and summer training opportunities to the university students. The signature took place on the sidelines of the workshop held to explore summer training opportunities for engineering college students.
Ali Thabet Al-Qahtani, Almarai’s Saudization Manager, maintained that the MOU is one of Almarai’s long-term plans and programs to Saudize food industry in Saudi Arabia. This could be achieved through supporting, attracting and qualifying national graduates of Saudi government and private universities and institutes. Such agreements are also partial achievement of corporate social responsibility.
Al-Qahtani added that Almarai has several programs and initiatives to this end. These include Future Manager Program, which qualifies university graduates to lead the company departments in the future. In collaboration with the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training “GOTVT”, Almarai established Dairy and Food Polytechnic “DFP” in Al-Kharj to qualify and train Saudi youth in food and dairy industry. Almarai sales Academy was established recently to to qualify and train Saudi youth to work in sales.
