Al-Hogail flags reverse land grants to avoid white land tax

Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Minister, Majed Al-Hogail said land grants remain consistent with past years, noting that some beneficiaries are returning plots to avoid the white land tax, which he described as a sign of the program’s success.

He told AlEkhbariya TV that registrations in the current phase are far higher than in the first, reflecting stronger awareness and compliance, adding that registration closes in October and billing begins in January.

Al-Hogail added that the call center is contacting property owners and taxpayers to ensure invoices are registered and late penalties are avoided.
