Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group welcomed with His Excellency Bahodur Sharifi Mahmudzoda, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the United Arab Emirates and Bahodur Safarzoda, Consul General of Tajikistan in Dubai at the Al Habtoor Group headquarters. The meeting was attended by Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman & CEO, Al Habtoor Group and Abdul Salam Marzooqi, Director of UAE Affairs and Community Relations, Al Habtoor Group.
His Excellency Bahodur Sharifi Mahmudzoda and Al Habtoor discussed the deepening of economic ties between the United Arab Emirates and Tajikistan as well as the potential business opportunities in the Central Asian country. His Excellency said that his country has great historical heritage and a favourable geographical location with diverse natural landscapes giving it big potential for further development in the tourism and hospitality sectors, including the capital Dushanbe.
Al Habtoor said, “The UAE is the safe haven of the world with well-established economic and business ties across the world. I would like to thank His Excellency Bahodur Sharifi Mahmudzoda for extending his invitation to visit the Central Asian country. I am always looking for sound investments abroad. If the right opportunity presents itself, I will consider it.”
Tajikistan, became independent from the Soviet Union in 1991 and is known for its rich agricultural land, farming industry and aluminum production. Tajikistan borders Afghanistan, China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and has a developed its tourism industry, offering activities from climbing, mountain sports, skiing and hunting.
