Saudi Arabia advances to 13th rank in World Competitiveness Yearbook

Saudi Arabia achieved advanced global rankings in indicators related to the Ministry of Commerce in the 2026 IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook, rising to 13th globally out of 70 countries in the overall ranking.

According to a ministry statement, Saudi Arabia ranked third among G20 countries, after the US and China. It also ranked third globally in the Legislative Support for Business Formation indicator, fourth globally in Economic Opportunity, and seventh globally in the Efficiency of Large Companies According to International Standards indicator.

Compared with its ranking in last year’s edition, Saudi Arabia advanced one place in the Legislative Support for Business Formation indicator, three places in Economic Opportunity, and two places in the efficiency of large companies.

These results were attributed to the partnership between the public and private sectors to facilitate doing business, enable commercial enterprises to continue their growth and expansion, and advance the regulatory environment.
