King thanks Kuwait Emir, says visit cemented ties

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman sent a cable of thanks and appreciation to Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah following his three-day visit to Kuwait.

In his cable, the King said, “We express our best thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality accorded to us and the accompanying delegation during our stay.

“Your Highness, this visit gave us the opportunity to discuss with you all issues that enhance the existing bonds of brotherhood between our countries and people.”

King Salman arrived in Riyadh on Saturday after a successful four nation Gulf tour which took him to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait.

At King Salman Air Base Airport, the King was received by Riyadh Emir Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage Prince Sultan Bin Salman, Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior; Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense. Earlier at Kuwait International Airport, the King was seen off by Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and a number of senior officials.

In Bahrain, the King addressed the 37th summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
