King reviews preparations made for Haj

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman stressed the importance of coordinating efforts of government and private agencies to provide the best services to pilgrims.

Chairing the Council of Ministers’ session here Monday, the King reviewed the preparations made for this year’s Haj.

He expressed thanks and appreciation to Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier, minister of interior and chairman of the Supreme Haj Committee, for the efforts to raise the standard of services being provided to pilgrims.

In a statement to SPA following the meeting, Dr. Isam Bin Saad Bin Said, minister of state, Cabinet member and acting minister of culture and information, said the Cabinet praised the results of the visits to Pakistan, China and Japan by Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, and the outcome of his G20 Summit attendance.

During Prince Muhammad’s visit to China, 15 agreements and MoUs were signed.During the Japan visit, one MoU in the field of defense was signed and seven MoUs were exchanged between the two countries.

The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources or his deputy to sign a draft memorandum of understanding to set up a joint Arab electricity market.

It also approved the controls related to the selling or renting of real estate units on the map.
