The Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus welcomed here today the decision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold this year's Hajj, with a very limited numbers of those interested to perform Hajj, from all nationalities inside the Kingdom, pointing that the decision was made on the basis of risk assessment and analyzing several scenarios, in pursuance of WHO guidelines to protect pilgrims' safety and to limit the dangers of the infection.
During a press conference held here today, he reasserted WHO's support of the Kingdom decision, stressing that all countries should make such hard options, putting the public hygiene, atop of priorities and interests.
