TGA launches inter-city bus transport services

The General Transport Authority (TGA) inaugurated today, Oct. 16, the inter-city bus passenger services in the Kingdom with the presence of Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh Al-Jasser.

As per Argaam data, last February, TGA signed bus inter-city concession contracts in the Kingdom, including the Southern franchise with Saptco, the Northern franchise with Darb Alwatan, and the Northwest franchise with Alqaid Logistics and Spain's Moventis.

The project benefits 6 million passengers yearly in 200 locations, operating on 76 bus routes, creating 35,000 jobs and adding SAR 3.2 billion to the local economy.
