The combined revenue of Jordan's three telecommunications operators (Zain, Orange and Umniah) amounted to JOD673 million in 2018, up 5 percent from the JOD641 million reported in 2017.
Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Ghazi Jabour, Ghazi Jabour, said revenue from data services accounted for 42 percent of the total income, followed by voice services revenue (35 percent); interconnection services (20 percent), while the sale of telecommunication and data equipment contributed 3 percent to the total revenue.
The growth in revenues of the three telecommunications operators has contributed significantly to the increase in the average revenue per user (ARPU), reaching JD6.42 per month in 2018, up by 16 percent over 2017.
