Tawuniya Insurance Company’s CEO Abdulaziz Hassan Al-Boug inaugurated the Tawyuniya Sales Academy in a ceremony attended by the company’s senior executives and sales managers. Located at the company's headquarters in Riyadh, the academy is the first of its kind in the Saudi insurance sector.
Established in collaboration with the Miller Heiman Group, one of the world’s foremost sales performance consultancies, Tawuniya sales academy aims to enhance the effectiveness, performance and knowledge of the sales teams and build the company’s in-house training capabilities.
Tawuniya CEO Abdulaziz Hassan Al-Boug said, "The establishment of the Tawuniya Sales Academy is part of the company’s strategic efforts focusing on further enhancing our understanding of customer needs and aspirations, augmenting the skills and knowledge of the sales team and improving the overall quality of sales services and customer engagement. These are factors which we view as being the key to the success of our company. "
"The new sales academy will attract and qualify ambitious Saudi youth with a very high standard of knowledge through an intensive curriculum that features 8 training tracks spanning for 150 days. These tracks will be distributed across 60 training courses involving 9 basic training modules which will be taught by internal trainers and 12 experts from Tawuniya,” Al-Boug noted.
Al-Boug went on to add that the new sales academy is truly one of the insurance sector’s pioneering initiatives, noting that it will further reinforce Tawuniya’s leading position within the Saudi insurance sector and boost the company’s investment in its employees' skills.
“At the same time,” Al-Boug continued, “the academy will enhance our sales operations by addressing some of the current market challenges such as market intelligence, low insurance awareness, a similarity between insurance products offered by the various market players, and pricing pressures. As such, we expect this initiative to further enhance our sales officers’ capabilities in enabling individuals and businesses to better understand potential risks and what they really need in terms of insurance coverage and select the suitable insurance products, all of which will ultimately raise the overall level of insurance awareness."
Tawuniya has launched and implemented several programs and training courses aimed at enhancing the skills of its employees in all facets related to the insurance sector. These initiatives are driven by the company's strategy to build up Saudi nationals’ skills and increase its Saudization rate which currently exceeds 80% of its total workforce and more than 95% of senior management positions.
