Five-star property is welcomed into TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame after five consecutive Certificates of Excellence

Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi has been inducted into the prestigious TripAdvisor Hall of Fame after winning the travel website’s Certificate of Excellence for five years in a row.

The Certificate of Excellence celebrates excellence in hospitality and is awarded to properties that consistently receive outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees, taking into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period, as well as business tenure and ranking on the site’s popularity index. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
