Al-Ahsa Municipality is going to soon complete the second phase of the SR24.7-million adventure park in Al-Shuba Mountain.
This is according to Al-Ahsa Mayor Adel Al-Mulhim who said recently this phase includes the establishment of two lakes, one in the lower region of the mountain and a second one 50 meters higher, from which two waterfalls would operate.
A cable car system would be constructed around the two lakes with three stations to link the summits of the mountain. The project includes bridges, climbing nets and sky ropes along the summits. There would also be games areas for children with shaded areas set up, Al-Mulhim said.
The mayor said the park is going to be built over 1 million square meters. The lower lake covers 7,000 square meters, while the upper lake is over 3,000 square meters.
Al-Mulhim said the municipality has contracted a specialized company for the cable car, climbing nets and bridges. The umbrellas are currently being manufactured.
He said Al-Ahsa Municipality wants to provide an attractive recreational area for young people, families and tourists, in line with the orders of the government, and while preserving the traditional identity of the region.
