Saudi students win seven awards in UAE competition

Saudi students bagged seven awards participating in the Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creations 2015 in the UAE and brought honor to their country once again.

The Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creations, for 17th time on national level and 11th time on the Gulf level, is held under the auspices of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the UAE vice president, prime minister and ruler of Dubai.
“It is a moment of pride for Saudi Arabia that our children have won the contest for the fifth time in a row,” Saudi Cultural Attache Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Dosari told Arab News.


Al-Dosari also told Arab News that the main event was attended by Amina Al-Dabbous, executive director of the Shaikha Latifa bint Mohammed Children’s Creativity Award, Mohammed Al-Masoudi, director of cultural affairs at the Saudi Cultural Mission, diplomats, education officials and journalists.
Al-Dosari congratulated all the winners and the whole nation for the honor they brought to the country, praised their success and intelligence and praised the superiority of Saudi youth. 


Al-Dosari focused on the importance of participation in such events for the knowledge, enhancing academic creative skills and for learning about successful experiences in various fields.
He also praised the continuous support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Ministry of Education for the development of education.
The winners were Maram bin Manawar Rashidi (First); Faris bin Kabees Al-Qahtani and Waeed Ali bin Ibrahim (Third in the field of religious research); Zainub Abdullah Al-Mohammed (Third in the modern scholars research contest); Saad bin Abdullah (Third in the historical research contest); and Nora bint Turki Al-Haqabani (First in the short story contest).


Al-Masoudi also expressed his appreciation to those in charge of the Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creations for their efforts.
He said it reflects the vision and depth of those who are in charge of the awards that not only highlighted the creations of Saudi students in scientific knowledge, but also gave them the academic and creative skills, and experience in various fields.
