Saleh Al-Zwaid, Spokesman for the Transport and Logistics System, said the Kingdom’s airports received more than 19,000 flights from over 72 air carriers, coming from more than 90 countries, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Haramain Train made more than 2,700 trips since the beginning of the season, and the Jeddah Islamic Port received seven ships transporting pilgrims from Sudan, as well as 129 ships carrying more than 600,000 containers, Al-Zwaid said.
He pointed out that 32 topnotch technologies were applied this year, of which 17 are used for the first time, including the air taxi.
