The General Directorate of Public Security and Saudi Standards and the Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) have signed a agreement to activate strong cooperation between the two in the application of quality control and to boost services and upgrade their level of performance, local media reported.
The deal was signed by SASO Gov. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi and Lt. Gen. Othman bin Nasir Al-Muhrraj, commander of Public Security, at the SASO premises in Riyadh. Following the signing ceremony, the SASO chief said he was proud to cooperate with one of the national security organs in the Kingdom and appreciated their keenness to apply quality standards in their work.
He also expressed confidence that SASO will contribute to realizing a quality shift in the Directorate of Public Security through the participation of SASO’s technical teams in the work of the public security.
According to the deal, the two parties will work jointly in areas related to drawing up plans aimed to spread the culture of quality control and its applications, and will exchange publications, prepare related studies and organize conferences and exhibitions related to quality control activities, the media said.
