Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation wins the ME Transport and Logistics Inspiration Award 2023

The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation won the “Most Inspiring Security Solutions” award within the Middle East Awards for Transport and Logistics Services for 2023, in recognition of its efforts in providing the best security solutions that are compatible with best practices and the highest levels and approved international standards.

Mrs. Hend Ahmad Shaker, Director of Strategy and Communication Department at the Ports, Customs and Region Corporation, had received the award during the honoring ceremony held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Dubai, in the presence of representatives from various government and private agencies and a number of experts and industry specialists participating in the various categories of the award.

Hend Ahmed Shaker expressed her appreciation for qualifying the PCFC and winning this category within the Transport and Logistics Awards in the Middle East for the current year, and said: “Honoring the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation is an appreciation for its pioneering and distinguished efforts in the field of security and logistical services that it provides to a wide range of dealers, and its adoption for the latest technologies and methods that are in line with the best local standards and the best international practices”.

The Director of the Strategy and Communication Department added: "These awards reflect the advanced position of the government services that are provided in the name of Dubai, which has always been at the forefront in various local and international forums, as the PCFC qualified to win after entering into a strong competition with a group of national and international institutions specialized in the field of security, and the Corporation has been keen to improve its competitive capabilities in this sector and meet the dynamic market requirements and related services by developing innovative initiatives and solutions and raising the efficiency of security dealing with supply chains to move forward to maintain its distinction and its investment position in the future.

Hend Shaker explained that this new achievement is added to the record of achievements and successes of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Security Department, which works to raise the level of security in the areas it supervises, and to keep abreast of changes and developments in this vital sector in line with the local and global security system and with the aim of securing the safety of ports and preventing them from being exposed to any security risks.

It is worth noting that the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, through its security arm "Security Department", operates 22 gates distributed in 4 regions in Dubai by controlling the entry and exit of various types of vehicles and individuals with the assistance of a specialized security staff that works at these gates, including more than 120 security personnel are working around the clock.
