NWC to pump 133m cubic meters of water during Ramadan

The National Water Company (NWC) has completed preparations for the summer season by approving its operational plan for the water services distribution sector in the four cities it serves (Riyadh, Makkah, Jeddah and Taif). The aim is to pump the largest quantity of water possible during the summer, which usually sees a significant increase in demand.

The quantity of water to be distributed in the four cities by NWC during the month of Ramadan this year is more than 133 million cubic meters – an average daily distribution of 4.442 million cubic meters per day.

Eng. Khalid Al Musaibih, Director for Corporate Communications and NWC spokesperson, said that the company will pump daily 2.5 million cubic meters in Riyadh, 592,000 cubic meters in Makkah, 1.1 million cubic meters in Jeddah Province and 250,000 cubic meters in Taif.

Al-Musaibih assured that NWC has examined all complaints and factors that impacted the provision of service to customers during the summer last year. NWC discussed the reasons and provided urgent support where appropriate. He indicated that work is currently underway to expedite the operation of strategic projects to strengthen the water supply to neighborhoods in the four cities affected by the lack of drinking water.

"Customers can visit the company's official website (www.nwc.com.sa) or e-branch (ebranch.nwc.com.sa) to take advantage of all the company's e-services without having to physically visit a branch, or call the 24-hour unified number (920001744).”

He stressed that all customer service centers located in the four cities were ready to receive customers, while the company intends to expand by opening new customer service centers in the coming months.
