Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors Land Rover and Rally Jeddah Back in the spot lights in 2015

Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, the authorized dealer of Jaguar & Land Rover in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced its sponsorship of Rally Jeddah for the second consecutive year in 2015, with Land Rover as the official rally car (Zero Car).

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Amr Badghaish, Marketing Director at MYNM – JLR, said: “The association of MYNM & Land Rover with premium sports events, particularly motorsports which is considered the second most popular sport among the youth in Saudi, is an important pillar of our marketing strategy. And since Land Rover vehicles are well known for their dynamic performance both on and off-road, it was a natural choice to use as the Zero car that officially opens each of the rally stages.”

On his part, Mr. Abdullah Bakhashab, the organiser of Rally Jeddah 2015, said: “We are happy to be organising Rally Jeddah for the second year after the great success we achieved last year. The event sponsorship by Land Rover in 2014 played an important role in its success, whereby the all-new Range Rover Sport was used as the official rally car. That’s why we agreed to renew the sponsorship using one of Land Rover’s new cars this year as well to be the official car of Rally Jeddah 2015.” Bakhashab added: “Similar to last year, Land Rover will officially lead the way in each of the rally stages to ensure readiness of the route for the drivers. It will also be used to transport VIP guests of the rally.”

It is worth noting that Rally Jeddah 2015 is a sanctioned event by the FIA and the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation (SAMF), where all stages will be overseen by officials from both bodies. The rally will be held in Bahra and Khulais areas, over a period of 4 days between 28 April and 2 May 2015.
