Ministry of Mining issues 32 mining licenses in June

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 32 new mining licenses in June 2023, with exploration and building materials quarry licenses reaching 17 and 11, respectively, according to a report by the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information.

The number of effective mining licenses until June 2023 reached 2,363. Building materials quarry licenses amounted to 1,466, then exploration (657), mining and small mine exploitation (182), reconnaissance (37), and surplus mineral ores (21).

Riyadh came first in terms of the large number of licenses, dominating 596, followed by Makkah with 387, then the Eastern Province (373), Madinah (264), Asir (212), and Tabuk (150).
