Saudi Arabia issues 268 industrial licenses in May worth SAR 2.2B

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 268 new industrial licenses in May, with investments estimated at SAR 2.23 billion.

These projects are expected to provide more than 2,484 jobs across the Kingdom, according to the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information (NIIC).

A total of 149 factories began production during the same year, with investments of SAR 1.43 billion, crearing about 2,410 new jobs.

The total number of operating industrial facilities in Saudi Arabia rose 12% to 13,870 by the end of May 2026, from 12,433 a year earlier. This number also increased by around 2% month-on-month from 13,660 facilities.
