Ministry of Energy: Global oil prices climb in July's second week

 Prices of international oil derivatives during the second week of July increased compared to their prices in the first week of the month, according to a report by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Monday.

The report stated that the price of gasoline octane 95 rose 5.1 percent to be $646.8 per ton from $615.6 per ton, while gasoline octane 90 rose by 4.2 percent to $621 per ton from $595.8 per ton, the report added.

Diesel prices also rose 2.7 per cent to be $590.8 per ton and kerosene by 2.5 per cent to be $631 per ton.

"Brent crude price also climbed in the second week of this month by 3.6 percent, becoming $66.1 per barrel," the report added further.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for July stood at $360 per ton, a drop of 14.8 percent drop from June.
