The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) is participating in the Big 5 Global, the most prominent event in the region for the construction sector.
The Ministry is highlighting the latest innovative solutions that contribute to sustaining the infrastructure sector, including AI applications in project management and modern technologies that enhance the efficiency of energy and water consumption.
Hassan Mohammed Al Mansouri, Under-Secretary for Infrastructure and Transport Affairs at MoEI, underscored the Ministry’s commitment to implementing best-in-class global construction practices with a focus on promoting partnerships with the private sector.
He said, “Our participation in Big 5 Global is in line with our keenness to boost cooperation and share experiences with leaders in the construction and infrastructure sectors. We strive to sustain the sector and the environment and cut emissions from the construction sector through national initiatives. These include the 'UAE National Guide for Smart Construction', a comprehensive guide designed to standardise smart construction practices across all new projects thus ensuring that smart technologies and digital designs lead the way in the construction industry.
"The Ministry also has developed comprehensive sustainability guidelines that span across various sectors including roads, buildings, maintenance and operations, and housing. Further enhancing our national landscape is the 3D Digital Twin project – an innovative platform that maps out our urban infrastructure, enabling precise planning and substantial enhancements in our cities' livability and sustainability.”
Al Mansouri noted that the UAE has one of the best, most developed, and most sustainable infrastructures in the world, as well as a top-class federal road network that meets the growing demand in land transport.
