Minister Al-rajhi Announces Saudization In It And Communications Sector

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi issued a decision to Saudize professions in the communications and information technology sector.

The ministry has set minimum monthly salary of SR5,000 for technical jobs and SR7,000 for specialized professions and it targets to create as many as 9,000 jobs for Saudis in this vital sector.

The minister’s decision will be applied to all establishments in the labor market where there are five or more workers and it covers jobs in the communications and information technology engineering; development of applications, programming and analysis, as well as in the technical support and telecommunications technical fields.

The ministry aims to stimulate growth in the field of communications and information technology by creating more jobs for young Saudi men and women professionals.

This decision comes within a series of decisions to localize the professions that the ministry is working on.

It also follows the agreement that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development concluded with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Human Resources Development Fund and the Council of Saudi Chambers represented by the National Committee for Information and Communications Technology.

This initiative aims to enable Saudi graduates in the field of communications and information technology to obtain decent jobs as well as to provide a suitable and stimulating work environment for them in the private sector, and enhance their work in pivotal jobs to contribute to the development of the private sector.
