Madinah officials urged to complete projects on time
Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman has urged government departments to implement their development projects without delay. “We have to be very keen to carry out service projects to benefit citizens, for which allocations have been made in the budget,” the governor said while chairing a meeting of the provincial council here Tuesday. “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has instructed us to implement all development projects within a set timeframe, to realize the hopes and aspirations of citizens,” Prince Faisal said.
“Our development programs should realize the objectives set out by the Saudi leadership,” he said at the meeting. Wahib Mohammed Sahli, spokesman of the governorate and general secretary of the council, said the meeting set up a committee to follow up on health services in the region. It would report on shortcomings and violations, he said. Meanwhile, Madinah Mayor Khaled bin Abdul Qader Taher commended Prince Faisal for winning the Gulf Cooperation Council Excellence Award 2014, for his work to help orphans.
“Prince Faisal has been providing remarkable services for the benefit of these valuable members of society. His services focused on providing orphans a stable and suitable living environment,” the mayor said. Taher said the Charitable Society for the Care of Orphans in Riyadh (Insan) has grown significantly under his leadership.
