Piaget celebrated the grand opening of its first ever boutique in Italy with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Piaget CEO Philippe Léopold-Metzger and Monsieur Yves Piaget. Award-winning actress and Piaget Brand Ambassador Jessica Chastain made an appearance to the delight of the VIP guests, invited to discover Piaget boutique located in the heart of Milan’s fashion district at 10 Via Verri.
The epitome of Hollywood glamour and timeless elegance, Jessica Chastain, the star of recent movie successes “Interstellar” and “A Most Violent Year”, brought her effortless style to the event wearing a dress by Italian designer Francesco Scognamiglio paired with a magnificent necklace from the “Secrets and Lights – A Mythical Journey by Piaget” High Jewellery collection and a stunning ring from the “Extremely Piaget” High Jewellery collection. In the presence of Yves G. Piaget, Philippe Léopold-Metzger - CEO of Piaget - and many other personalities, Jessica Chastain cut the ribbon of the first Piaget boutique in Italy, setting in motion a special evening of festivities that culminated in a gala dinner held in one of the city centre’s historic palaces, a location kept secret from all the guests until the very last minute.
In a contemporary setting where fine craftsmanship and elegance come together, the new boutique is an invitation to discover the world of Piaget, through the pioneering spirit, audacious creativity and technical prowess of its fine watchmaking and precious High Jewellery creations. Spread out over 250 square meters on two levels, the design of the space pays tribute to the artistry and style of Italy with lanterns handmade on the Venetian island of Murano giving the space its magical glow, and an impressive stylized rose measuring 3.5 meters created exclusively by the finest Venetian master glassmakers, a reference to the Piaget rose, an endless source of creative inspiration for the Maison.
“The opening of a Piaget boutique in Milan’s high fashion district, a location that is a symbol of elegance and prestige throughout the world, is an important milestone in the Maison’s140-year history”, explains Piaget CEO Philippe Léopold-Metzger. “With this opening, Piaget signs its long history with Italy, bringing its expertise and excellence as one of the world's most prestigious watchmaker-jewelers to an audience that truly understands bold designs, artistic virtuosity and the pleasure of unexpected innovations.”
