ENOC Group and SAP Support Emirati Talent Through the SAP Young Professional Programme

ENOC Group recently partnered with global technology company SAP on its Young Professional Programme. The SAP Training and Development Institute’s Young Professional Programme is a 3-month-long programme, through which 25 unemployed or underemployed university graduates gain digital and soft skills and become certified SAP Associate Consultants on SAP’s latest solutions. ENOC Group is set to hire 13 of the programme graduates.

Marita Mitschein, Senior Vice President Digital Skills, SAP Southern Europe, Africa and Middle East, and Managing Director of the SAP Training and Development Institute, said: “Digital skills are vital for the region’s organisations to continue to lead innovation and Digital Transformation. Following the recent graduation of our last Young Professional Programme in the UAE in December 2019, this next programme cohort will contribute to the digital transformation of ENOC Group as well as further SAP customers and channel partners in the UAE and beyond.”

Graduates of the upcoming cohort in the UAE will be trained and certified on SAP Activate Project Manager and SAP Business Process Integration and will receive soft skill and innovation trainings such as Communication Skills and Design Thinking.

H.E Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, said: “At ENOC Group, we are continuously thinking about how we can bridge the skills gap by developing different and innovative working methods and that is why we work with our partners to identify opportunities that will elevate our national talents. We believe that the Young Professional Programme will offer young talents the skills and training required to support our digital transformation efforts.”

In 2019, ENOC Group rolled out NEXT; an accelerator programme designed to unlock growth opportunities and tackle challenges in the energy sector. Through NEXT, the Group will be able to achieve its vision by building new digital ventures, enabling a digital transformation through an organisation-wide SAP system implementation and digital upskilling of its workforce.

Zakaria Haltout, Managing Director, SAP UAE, said: “With the UAE’s oil and gas sector embracing Industry 4.0 innovations, ENOC Group’s partnership on the Young Professional Programme shows how public-private partnerships can enable Emirati talent to lead the workforce of the future and support UAE Vision 2021.”

Worldwide, over 99 percent of Young Professional Programme graduates have successfully found work placement within the SAP Ecosystem of SAP customers and partners.
