A contract was signed recently to establish a specialist medical complex to treat cancer patients for free.
The contract was signed in the presence of Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal on Monday.
The complex, which will cost SR147 million, will be established in the Jeddah governorate on the Jeddah-Madinah Highway and will comprise three towers covering 5,000 square meters.
The free services include early testing and daily treatment in cooperation with the Ministries of Social Services and Health, with 30 daily treatment units in operation with the supervision of a voluntary medical team under the umbrella of Al-Iman Charity for Cancer Patients.
The complex, which will be completed in three years, will have the latest equipment in early testing and a women's department for breast cancer. It will be established in two stages; the first at a cost of SR50 and the second at SR97 million.
