CITC Governor Inspects Mobily’s Preparations for Hajj Season 1437H

His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, the Governor of CITC, accompanied with a prestigious delegation, inspected the Mobily’s preparations for the Hajj season 1437H. Mr. Ahmad Farroukh, Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Maziad Al Harbi, Chief Executive Officer and chief of Hajj Committee, and a number of Mobily’s leaders were at their reception at Muzdalifah. 

Mobily’s leaders welcomed the Governor and the CITC delegation who inspected together Mobily's exceptional work and the preparations taken to sustain  the network's readiness for the success of the Hajj season and to provide a distinctive services to pilgrims and visitors who are worthy of care and attention.

A detailed presentation about the infrastructure development projects within the holy sits area and Hajj Central Zone was presented, showing the role of FTTH network  in interconnecting the fixed and moving towers, including Al Jamarat Bridge to ensure  smooth streaming of local and international calls and movement of data without disconnections. Moreover, the work team reviewed the sales and marketing plans which provide integrated services to pilgrims at competitive prices.

Mr. Ahmad Farroukh expressed his delight for the visit of the Governor and his accompanied delegation to Mobily’s premises, and confirmed that the interest shown by the wise government in Hajj preparations is not surprising, and the telecom sector in the Kingdom finds a remarkable support by the government, which obviously reflected with the Kingdom Vision 2030. 

Notably,  Mobily has announced its comprehensive plan covering all operational aspects for the Hajj Season of this year; this is attributed to its huge experience during the past years. Mobily managed to attract the attention, thanks to its integrated infrastructure and for being always close to pilgrims through its main branches and outlets deployed in the holy sites or through land, air, and sea entry ports and Miqats. The sale points are more than 100 POS providing special promotions. Moreover, Mobily is also participating for the seventh consecutive year as a strategic partner for the Haj National Media Campaign to enhance pilgrims awareness.
