New director for the Eden Roc and Albergo Carcani hotels in Ascona: from 1 November, Andreas Gartmann will take over as executive host of the Tschuggen Hotel Group's five-star hotel on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Mr Gartmann, who originally hails from Zurich, will succeed Daniel Schälli, who is leaving the company after seven years. "Taking on the management of one of Switzerland's most beautiful hotels is a great honour. I am delighted to be able to play a part in shaping the further development of the five-star hotel and of the Albergo Carcani", explains the 47-year-old graduate of the Hotel Management School in Lucerne as he looks forward to the new challenge.
Andreas Gartmann most recently spent two years as General Manager of Astoria Betriebs AG and prior to that had been Resident Manager of the Hotel Mont Cervin Palace and Director of the Petit Cervin hotel in Zermatt.
