Advanced innovation course yields 40 fresh ideas for improvement at Dubai Customs

Dubai Customs Innovation Team and Training Centre joined hands with the Global Innovation Institute to deliver extensive training course to DC employees, in a bid to hone their innovative capabilities. Seven creative work teams were formed to propose and generate fresh ideas.     

As many as 40 ideas covering all customs areas were put forth by the teams. These ideas were assessed by the Global Innovation Institute team, who chose the top three teams.

The Director of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, awarded the winning teams and thanked participating employees for their keenness to develop their creativity and innovation capabilities. 

“Innovation and creativity are vital to develop our business as Customs. So, we are working towards building and sustaining an environment conducive to innovation here at Dubai Customs. Such courses are meant to train employees on how to come up with effective solutions to problems they face at work,” said Ahmed Mahboob Musabih.   

Hussam Juma Mohammed, Head of the Innovation Team and Business Process Director at Dubai Customs, said “We collaborated with one of the best innovation training providers in the world to deliver this course to capitalize on their long expertise in this field and achieve greater results. We hope to see the outcomes of this course in the way participants will contribute to the development of Customs work.”
