A partnership agreement between MEDA and Star Star for the recycling of plastic waste

The Jordan Valley Link Company (MEDA) has signed a partnership agreement with Kerk Star for the recycling of plastic waste by installing a fuel production line using thermal decomposition technology. Under the agreement, the project will use plastic waste to generate 1,300 tons of fuel per year, which will enable Star Star to produce about one million kilos of eggs a month with revenues of more than 400,000 a year. The project will start with the operation of 10 to 11 female actors in the non-profit organizations as a first stage, bringing the total beneficiaries and beneficiaries of the project to about 780 members to search for storage areas for plastic in preparation for the weekly delivery, and contact with landfill contractors in the Jordan Valley and Madaba and Tafila to buy 1700 tons of Waste plastics annually.

 

The agreement includes awareness campaigns to educate them on how to recycle plastics to become additional income for them. The project, funded by the Government of Canada, aims to support women and youth entrepreneurs and connect them to local markets to enable them to secure sustainable sources of income. The project targets 25,000 young women and young people in the fields of clean technology, food processing and community tourism , And access to funding sectors.
