8th Dubai Drink Technology Expo to Start Next Monday

The premier specialized event in the MENA region for the beverage industry, Dubai Drink Technology Expo in its 8th edition, is slated to begin next Monday 16th of May, 2016 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Dubai Drink Technology Expo forms a distinctive platform for beverage companies to present their up-to-date technologies and innovative system solutions for the entire production chain of various beverages ranging from carbonated drinks, fruit juices, bottled water, energy and wellness drinks, milk, functional drinks (ready to drink), tea, and coffee.

Running parallel to the exhibition, the 5th Global Water & Beverage Technology Congress will feature a number of educational sessions and B2B business meetings over 3 days, discussing the challenges in the water and beverage technology businesses. The congress will address topics like Managing Brands and Distributorship, Competitive Advantages through Innovative Production Technology, Innovations in Packaging, Caps and Closures Future, Global and Regional Trends in Beverages, to name a few.

On this note, Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice-Chairman and Group CEO of INDEX Holding, said: “Dubai Drink Technology Expo continues to support the beverage industry, an industry that has been witnessing a remarkable growth especially in the GCC region and the UAE. According to a recent market report by Euromonitor International, a London-based market intelligence firm, the size of beverage market in the UAE is expected to achieve a compound annual growth rate up to 10% during the period 2015-2019 which forms a promising opportunity for suppliers and manufacturers working to grow their businesses.”

Eng. Anas Al Madani added: “This year, the exhibition witnesses the participation of 100 local and international companies displaying their recent innovations and the latest in production machinery and equipment, process and quality control instruments, storage, transport and labeling handling services, which will no doubt support and meet the demands of this ever growing industry in the region.”

From his side, Mr. Bill Sipper, Managing Partner in Cascadia Managing Brands LLC, commented about their participation in DDTE 2016 saying: “Managing Brands and Distributorships is part art and part science. We are going to discuss a four-stage process for developing brands and six-step process for managing distributor relationships. You cannot sell to the consumer until your distributor sells your product to the retailer.  People often overlook the life stages of a brand and the importance of distributor management.”

He continued on saying: “DDTE is incredibly important for the beverage industry in the Middle East.  Participants get to learn about and network with potential partners in the Middle East, Northern Africa, and even Southeast Asia.  It is a wonderful conference for everyone to learn a little bit more about each other and to form bonds and partnerships moving forward. Global and independent beverage companies should not under estimate the sales potential of the Middle East”.

It is worth mentioning that Dubai Drink Technology Expo this year will witnesses a remarkable participation from each of China and Turkey who will be having dedicated pavilions at the show, and the exhibition will cover a total space of 2,000 sqm.

Dubai Drink Technology Expo is organized by INDEX conferences and Exhibitions Organization Est., a member of INDEX Holding. The event is supported by the International Society of Beverage Technology (ISBT), the American Beverage Association, TEA board of India, Arab Asian Beverage Alliance, UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dubai Export Development Corporation, Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), and Dubai Department of Economic Development.
