Unified GCC strategy to help attract more tourists: Al Khateeb

The adoption of the unified GCC strategy will contribute to attracting more tourists, Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al Khateeb told the 7th meeting of GCC tourism undersecretaries.

He added that the move will help tourists travel between the GCC countries with the utmost ease, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The minister underscored the high competitiveness of GCC countries in the tourism sector, considering that the Kingdom and the other GCC countries have great opportunities to secure a strong position as an international tourist destination.

Saudi Arabia managed to make several achievements in the tourism sector in 2022, as indicators showed significant progress in the performance of tourism sector.

In addition, the sector managed to offer 880,000 jobs by the end of 2022, Al Khateeb said, confirming the continued distinguished performance of the sector in terms of growth and development this year.
