03 April 2016, Dubai, UAE: After the success of UberPITCH 2015 which saw five entrepreneurs across Middle East and North Africa (MENA) win sponsorship from Uber for the ArabNet Digital Summit 2015, Uber has today announced the launch of UberPITCH 2016, to once again make life-changing moments available on-demand, in twelve cities across the region.
Starting on 3 April 2016, in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Doha, Manama, Amman, Beirut, Cairo, Alexandria and Casablanca, entrepreneurs can put themselves forward to pitch their startups to global industry leaders and one winner from each city will be selected and sponsored by Uber at Arabnet Digital Summit 2016. The prize will include the production of a one-minute video to pitch their start-up, exhibition space, branding and match-up sessions with key industry leaders, who really could help them to take their business to the next level.
The way to enter is simple, head to t.uber.com/uberpitch16 and fill out the application form – from here qualifying entrepreneurs will be gratnted access to the UberPITCH option in the Uber app. On April 16th, they will be able to request a UberPITCH ride where they will have the chance to pitch their idea to XXX, in a 7-minute journey around the city. To qualify, start-ups must have less than 25 employees, must be a digital start-up, more than 12 months old with less than $2m investment.
