The eleventh session of the Arab Beverage Conference, the largest event for the beverage sector in the Middle East, will kick off in the capital, Riyadh.
The conference is launched on Wednesday morning, 18 October 2023, and will last for two days. It covers several sessions to discuss and study the future of the beverage industry in the Arab region and its developments that are witnessing a rapid growth.
The conference is organized by the Arab Beverage Association and themed as “Welcome to the Future”, brings together experts, specialists, senior company leaders across various sectors of the beverage industry in KSA, GCC and the Arab World, all under one roof.
In the first session of the conference, Engineer Majid Al-Rasheed from National Industrial Development Center elaborates on the Kingdom’s vision for industry development, especially the beverage sector. More new and interesting topics will be presented in other sessions, such as, trends and visions of the Arab and international markets in the field of the beverage sector, and how the DNA of the bottled water projects will shape future prospects. Moreover, more presentations will cover the smart factories of the future and the future of healthy drinks, including a session entitled “The Future of Taste, Texture, and Health in Sports Nutrition.” Presented by Mr. Fredrik Hjelmqvist from Switzerland. Also, Dr. Maha Hijazi, the professor and researcher at Food & Nutrition Dept of KAU will present a case study about the matcha drinks moving towards healthier products.
As a part of the conference’s activities, a panel discussion will be held entitled “What does the future bring to the beverage industry?” moderated by the Chairman of the Arab Beverages Association, Sharif Monther Al Harthi, who declared: "The conference is always a platform that allows the exchange of information, experiences and the latest technologies related to the beverage industry, and this time, the conference exposes the Saudi Vision 2030 for the industry in general and the beverage industry in particular.”
The “11th Arab Beverage Conference” provides the opportunity for specialists and people interested to learn closely through senior representatives of the sector around the world on the latest new trends, visions and aspirations towards the features of the future of the beverage makers sector in the Middle East.
Saudi university students also participate in this conference, where they display illustrations, on large posters fronting the conference hall, summarizing their researches related to the field for the attention of attendees and visitors.
