Sulaiman Al-Habib says fire erupts at hospital under construction in Riyadh

Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Services Group said a fire broke out in the hospital of Shamal Al Riyadh for Healthcare Co., a 100%-owned subsidiary, on Aug. 17 evening.

The project, located on Anas Ibn Malik Road in Al Riyadh city, is under construction, the company said in a statement to Tadawul today, Aug. 20.

The fire extinguished. Sulaiman Al-Habib is cooperating with the competent authorities to determine the technical reasons for the fire.

The group is also working on a full assessment of the damages and effects arising from the fire, noting that the project has insurance coverage for such risks.

Work on the project will resume after ensuring the safety of the site and in coordination with the relevant authorities.

Any details or other material developments, including any impact of this fire on the timeframe of the project’s operation date, will be announced later, in accordance with the applicable regulations, Sulaiman Al-Habib added.

In June, the healthcare services provider said a “very limited” fire broke out in the same project, Argaam earlier reported.
