Serving more than 137,000 beneficiaries NWC completes project to increase water supply efficiency in Madinah at SR 60 million

The National Water Company (NWC) announced the completion of a transmission line project, one of the most important water infrastructure projects in Madinah, at a cost of 60 million Saudi Riyals. This project has achieved a significant improvement in water supply efficiency in the region and serves visitors to Madinah, ensuring an improved quality of life.

The company explained that the project aims to stabilize water pressure and increase water flow to the western districts of Madinah, connect the southern city's reservoir system to the public network, and serve visitors to the Prophet's Mosque, shelter houses, the Miqat Mosque, and the surrounding area. The work included the extension of 10 kilometers of transmission lines, forming a vital artery that supports new urban expansions.

NWC added that the project will serve more than 137,000 beneficiaries, distributed across several districts and strategic areas, including residential areas: Al-Aziziyah, Al-Qaswaa, Arwa, Abu Barikaa, Al-Daiitha, Hamra Al-Asad, Al-Miqat district, and logistics areas and expansions: the industrial area, Al-Hijra Road, Dhi Al-Hulaifa, Jumaa Um Khalid, in addition to Al-Hasa and Abu Markha districts and shelter houses.

The company confirmed that this project has achieved many of its strategic objectives, as it will contribute to increasing the efficiency of water flows to the areas of Al-Daiitha and Al-Aziziyah, ensuring water sustainability in the urban plans west of the city, and improving the customer experience by stabilizing pressure and ensuring water availability around the clock.

NWC indicated that it is moving forward with upgrading the water sector's infrastructure, in line with the Kingdom's vision of improving service quality and meeting urban growth requirements in Madinah.
