The Saudi-Russian Business Council is working to encourage Russian companies to locate their headquarters in the Kingdom, chairman Tariq Al-Qahtani said.
Al-Qahtani added, according to a tweet by the Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC) on X platform, that one of the council's priorities is to transfer and localize Russian advanced technologies to the Kingdom and supply raw materials to the Saudi market at competitive prices.
He pointed out that work is underway to conclude and sign a number of Saudi-Russian industrial partnerships and agreements, and preparations are on track for the visit of a large delegation of Russian businesspersons and companies to Riyadh next November.
Meanwhile, the official pointed out that the sectors targeted for cooperation include light and heavy industries, maritime and air transport, infrastructure and contracting, agriculture, finance, supply of rebar, foodstuffs, and medicines.
