Saudi Health Minister Fahd Aljalajel participated, Tuesday, January 23, in the ministerial level committee and the policy forum of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) held in Paris.
The two-day meetings aim to help shape policies for building more resilient healthcare systems and discuss challenges facing member countries to cope with future epidemics.
During the forum, Minister Aljalajel met with OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann, where they discussed ways to strengthen the partnership between Saudi Arabia and the organization.
Aljalajel also met with his counterparts, Italian Health Minister Orazio Schillaci, Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, and Singapore's Health Minister Ong Ye Kung. He also met with Portuguese Health Promotion Minister Margarida Tavares and Paraguayan Health Minister Maria Wasilchuk. During these meetings, areas of cooperation in the field of Public Health were discussed, and mutual experiences in the developing healthcare systems.
Minister Aljalajel visited on Wednesday, January 24 the Foch Hospital, he also visited the Ramsay Healthcare company and met with its leadership team, where he discussed investment opportunities offered by Saudi Arabia in the healthcare sector.
